40th District State Senator Patrick Joyce is weighing in on the recently passed 53-billion-dollar State Budget. Senator Joyce said there was a lot of good things in the budget, but the price tag was just too high so he had to vote against it
Joyce said among those issues were a proposed reduction in the state’s long-term debt and increased line-items to help residents in his district
Senator Joyce added, among the issues he had with the budget was the built in five-percent pay increase for legislators
Joyce noted it was the second year in a row he’s voted against the budget.
