Tory Lanez appeared in court in Los Angeles on Tuesday (April 5) for the pretrial hearing for his felony assault case stemming from the shooting incident involving Megan Thee Stallion from last summer.

Tory's bail was increased from $250,000 to $325,000.

Tory was released from custody hours after the court hearing.

His lawyer, Shawn Holley, released a statement, which said, “The DA requested that Mr. Peterson’s bail be revoked or, in the alternative, that it be increased to $5 million. We are pleased that the Court rejected those outrageous requests.”

It was also said in court that the DNA of four people were found on the gun from the July of 2020 shooting incident. Therefore, it was inclusive whether or not Tory's DNA was on the gun.

He was also excluded as a contributor to his DNA being on the gun's magazine, or clip.

Megan Thee Stallion's attorney, Alex Spiro, also said in a statement, “A judge found sufficient evidence of Mr. Peterson’s guilt to order him to stand trial. Additionally, the judge found sufficient evidence today that he violated the order of protection and had him handcuffed in the courtroom. The self-serving noise in this case will not change the facts or prevent this case from proceeding.”

Tory Lanez was found guilty of violating the protective order that as already in place in July of last year when he performed at Rolling Loud Miami last year with DaBaby.

Megan was also at the festival and was apparently less than the court-ordered 100 yards away from the Houston rapper.
