St Mary’s Hospital Gets an A

Ascension Saint Mary Kankakee has earned an “A” Hospital Safety Grade from The Leapfrog Group, a national nonprofit organization focused on advancing patient safety.  The group says the grade reflects the hospital’s dedication to creating a safe, reliable environment for every patient. Leapfrog assigns grades of “A,” “B,” “C,” “D,” or “F” to hospitals nationwide based on more than 30 safety performance metrics, including prevention of accidents, errors, infections, and other preventable incidents.  Leapfrog’s Hospital Safety Grade program is a national rating focused exclusively on hospital safety, preventable medical errors, infections and patient injuries.
