350 jobs at Armstrong Flooring in Kankakee safe for now

Local officials believe some 350 jobs at Armstrong Flooring on Hobbie Ave. in Kankakee are safe for now.  Armstrong is expected to file for chapter 11 bankruptcy because of what the company in a press release calls financial difficulties.  Local officials tell the Daily Journal that the Kankakee plant is still strong and recently filed a permit application with the Illinois EPA to invest in the plant.
