Gas prices going down…..slowly…

Gas prices in the Kankakee area and across Illinois continue their slow, downward trend. Triple-A says the average cost for a gallon of regular no-lead in Kankakee County today is 4.47, down two cents from yesterday and nearly nine cents cheaper than at this time last week. Gas is still more than a dollar-40 more expensive than it was at this time last year though. The average price for a gallon of gas in Illinois is 4.54, down a penny from yesterday. The nation-wide average is 4.30 a gallon.
