DeMotte Man Killed in Crash

Jasper County Sheriffs police are telling us today about a fatal motorcycle crash that occurred Sunday evening on U.S.  231 north of DeMotte.  Police say 32 year old Cody Johnson of DeMotte was killed when he lost control of his motorcycle while southbound on 231, stuck a guardrail and was ejected from the bike.  The official cause of death is still pending the results of toxicology tests.  Police say witnesses tell them that shortly before the crash, the bike passed them at a high rate of speed.
