Sam Hunt pleaded guilty to misdemeanor DUI charges in Nashville's Davidson County Circuit Court yesterday (Wednesday, August 18th) stemming back to his arrest in 2019. The Tennessean reports he pleaded guilty to two counts of DUI and was sentenced to 11 months and 29 days in jail with all time suspended except for 48 hours. Sam will also lose his license for one year and is required to have an interlock installed in his vehicle when his license is reinstated.

Citizens called police in the wee hours of November 21, 2019 to report a car going the wrong way on the city's Ellington Parkway. After being pulled over, Sam admitted to drinking alcohol and failed a field sobriety test issued by officers. Sam's blood alcohol level was 0.173, well over the legal limit of 0.08.
