Måneskin vaults to No. 1 on Billboard’s Rock Streaming Songs chart with “Beggin’,” which bows atop the July 10-dated tally.

“Beggin’,” a cover of 4 Seasons’ 1967 No. 16-peaking Billboard Hot 100 hit, earned 7.9 million U.S. streams in the June 25-July 1 tracking period, according to MRC Data. It surged by 127% over the June 18-24 tracking week (3.5 million streams), which itself marked a 282% leap from 907,000 June 11-17.

The song has taken off as the latest viral hit for the 2021 Eurovision Song Contest-winning Italian quartet. The group won with “Zitti E Buoni,” which has reached No. 22 on the Billboard Global 200. “I Wanna Be Your Slave” followed, aided in part by TikTok buzz, peaking so far at No. 15 on the Global 200. The songs have also each hit No. 10 highs on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. chart.

But “Beggin’,” which has also been helped by TikTok exposure, has become Måneskin’s biggest hit yet, reaching new highs of No. 4 on the Global 200 Excl. U.S. survey and No. 5 on the Global 200.

The track also becomes Måneskin’s first Billboard Hot 100 entry, debuting at No. 78, and breaks into the top 10 of Rock & Alternative Songs (26-8), led by its streaming sum as well as 2,400 downloads sold, up 145%.

Early airplay includes six spins in the week ending July 4 on Pop Airplay chart reporter WTDY Philadelphia.
