At Monday night’s Kankakee City Council meeting, Aldermen passed a resolution that authorized the acceptance of the Norfolk Southern Railroad agreement for review of plans for the Riverfront Trail along Kennedy Drive. City Engineer Neil Piggush explains.
The engineering agreement with Norfolk will cost around $26,000, but Piggush says the Riverfront Trail project is being completely funded for by a $5,000,000 grant the city secured last year.
