Woman Allegedly Stabs Man in Kankakee Wednesday

A woman is in custody after Kankakee City Police say she allegedly stabbed a man early Wednesday morning. According to reports, officers responded to a local hospital where a stabbing victim was being treated around 1:30 Wednesday morning. When police arrived, the victim told officers he was stabbed in his chest. Officers could see visible injuries on the victim’s upper left chest area. The victim’s girlfriend told officer’s that she witness the stabbing and her friend, 34-year-old Dorasha J. Tate, was the one who allegedly did it. The victim was found to be wanted on an outstanding warrant. He was placed in cuffs after being treated at the hospital. Police later located Tate and arrested her for aggravated battery to  a peace officer and destruction of government property.
