Kankakee City Police Responded to Weapons Call Monday

A Kankakee man alleges a co-worker pointed a gun at him on the city’s east side Monday morning. According to Kankakee City Police reports, officers were called to the 1600 Block of East Eagle Street around 6:15 Monday morning for a weapons call. While en route, KanComm told officers that the caller had been threatened with a firearm but was now on his way to work. The man told police he went to pick up a co-worker at his home Monday morning and when he arrived, his co-worker walked out and pointed what appeared to be a rifle in the man’s direction. The man told officers he had a verbal argument with his co-worker just the day before. City police are investigating the incident.
