The Jasper County, Indiana, Sheriff’s Office reports a fatal motorcycle crash Tuesday. According to a press release, deputies responded to a motorcycle versus semi truck crash just before 5:00 p.m. Tuesday evening on Amsler Road, just east of U.S. Highway 231. The motorcycle driver, 27-year-old Dylan S. Wiseman of Rensselaer, sustained significant injuries from the accident. Wiseman was airlifted to a hospital where he later died. A preliminary investigation suggests the semi-truck, driven by 72-year-old Ned Lyons of Rensselaer, was reversing southbound from a private driveway across Amsler Road to a farm lot on the opposite side of the roadway. The motorcycle was heading westbound on Amsler Road when it collided with the semi.
