Van Versus Building in Lowell

Two people were hospitalized yesterday in Lowell, Indiana when a vehicle slammed into the front of a fitness center in the 1900 block of East Commercial Ave. around 2 in the afternoon.   Lowell fire said two others were treated on the scene for minor injuries.  For a time it was feared that someone was trapped under the vehicle, but that turned out not to be true.   No information was released on the driver or what caused the crash.  The center had to close for a few hours but was reopened last evening.
