Police say a two-year-old boy is dead and the child’s mother is hospitalized following a domestic incident in Frankfort Tuesday. According to a press release, officers responded to a call Tuesday afternoon regarding an unresponsive child at a residence on Brook Stone Court in Frankfort. Police say the boy’s mother was discovered attempting to harm herself and was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. CPR was performed on the boy before he was transported to a local hospital where he later died. The case is considered by authorities as a domestic-related homicide. Will County Coroner Laurie Summers says an autopsy was performed Wednesday and the boy’s final cause of death will be determined following the autopsy, police, and toxicology reports.
