It’s not your imagination, gas prices have jumped in the Kankakee area over the last couple of days. Triple-A says the average cost for a gallon of regular no-lead gas is now four-dollars-24 cents across Kankakee County. That’s a jump of 15 cents overnight and a 27 cent increase from the cost one week ago today. Gas prices are running 4.25 a gallon on average across Illinois. Triple-A says the average cost for a gallon of gas in Iroquois County is now. four-dollars-15 cents. It’s 4.23 in Ford County, 4.16 in Grundy County and four-dollars-20 cents a gallon on average in Will County.
Across the State Line, Triple-A says a gallon of gas will set you back three-dollars-52 cents on average in Newton County. It’s 3.45 on average in Benton County and three-dollars-60 cents a gallon on average in Jasper County. Triple-A says gas is running 3.53 on average across the Hoosier State.
