Shots Fired in Manhattan Tuesday

Manhattan Police report an arrest after a shots fired call Tuesday. According to a press release, officers were called to Brynn and Brett Drive for a report of shots fired sometime Tuesday. When they arrived, sixteen spent shell casings were found in the street. After some investigating, officers learned 18-year-old Aiden D. Valera of Manhattan allegedly fired multiple rounds from a moving vehicle. Valera was found, arrested, and the firearm was also recovered. Valera was charged with felony aggravated unlawful use of a weapon and reckless discharge of a firearm. Due to the safe-t act, Valera was released with the listed citations.
