A presentation of the 2025 Audit for the City of Kankakee was given at Monday night’s City Council meeting. Mayor Chris Curtis says it’s been about ten years since the city’s finances looked this good.
Mayor Curtis added it’s a combination of taking care of the pension funds and paying down debt.
