Kankakee City Police say a home on the city’s east side was burglarized sometime over the weekend. According to reports, officers were called to a home in the 100 block of North Wildwood Avenue around 7:30 Sunday night for the burglary. When they arrived, the owner told officers someone forced their way into the home’s garage and stole various tools including a Stihl Hedge Trimmer and a troy air compressor still new in the box. The owner told officers he does not live in the home and locked up the garage with everything in it before he left on Saturday night around 6. No suspects have been identified at this time.
