The Law Enforcement Torch Run Polar Plunge for Special Olympics Illinois took place over the weekend at the Manteno Sportman’s Club. Saturday’s plungers included first timer, Bourbonnais Mayor Jeff Keast.

Thanks to Bourbonnais Police Officer Travis Garcia for that audio. Representatives from law enforcement agencies and individuals from all over the area took the plunge to raise money for Special Olympics Illinois. This year’s goal is to raise 210-thousand dollars. Over 180-thousand has been raised so far. The Manteno Police Department has exceed their goal of raising two-thousand dollars while the Bourbonnais Police Department raised about 54-hundred dollars toward their six-thousand dollar goal.
